Welcome to Auriel Eurythmy, a part-time modular eurythmy training that was founded in Canada in 2013.

In 2017 Auriel began offering modules in Mexico, where it now holds the majority of its courses.

A new cycle of courses begins each year. We are very happy to be able to offer this training to people interested in eurythmy both for their personal or professional development, as well as for those who wish to become professional eurythmists.

Auriel Eurythmy is part of the Kootenay Society for Life Long Learning, which is a non-profit association based on the work of Rudolf Steiner  that promotes learning for all ages and in all areas of life. Auriel Eurythmy is a member of the Section of Performing Arts at the Goetheanum, able to grant Diplomas recognised by the Waldorf or Rudolf Steiner School movement worldwide.

The work we do at Auriel Eurythmy aims to promote the development of the art of eurythmy as a performing art, as a path of inner development, for the training of eurythmy teachers in Waldorf schools, as a healing practice and as nourishment for life.

Starting in the Fall 2018 Auriel also launched a Foundation Year of anthroposophical studies with an emphasis on the arts, targeted for eurythmy students but open to anyone wishing an online course in anthroposophy with four weekends per year of art and community for each of the four major festivals of the year. The course consists of 24 mentored hours, 4 weekends of art courses, some independent study and a final project.

In the Fall 2019 Auriel also started a 2 year program called Heart Stream Eurythmy. Auriel Heart Stream Eurythmy is open to everyone wanting to bring their relationship to Anthroposophy and their personal inner path into movement. A movement radiating from the heart, out of love of the spirit, each other, and art.

In May 2023 we will begin offering our first post-graduate course: Stage and Director Training with Bettina Grube from Germany.

In July will begin another post-graduate training:
Eurythmy in the Working Life with Teresa Mazzei.

Vision
Auriel Eurythmy is dedicated to the teaching, practice and performance of Eurythmy for individual, community and cultural renewal, as indicated by Rudolf Steiner.
Auriel recognizes that eurythmy is an expression of the invisible aspects of audible and visible arts and has as its horizon the human being’s ability to perceive it and to transform the physical body into an instrument able to move in tune with life force and soul. Auriel brings heart, life and responsibility into the social realm amongst students and faculty.
Mission
Auriel Eurythmy meets the needs of the time by providing a program of studies that accommodates the physical everyday reality of people today. Auriel is mobile and willing to travel where there are groups of people wishing to begin their learning and the work of developing as students of eurythmy.
